Project background

The new owner of "Salad Days" engaged us to resolve a nightmare intermittent charging issue, replace the battery pack and provide more up-to-date instrumentation so she would be able to see at a glance that the boat was actually on charge. The charger being plugged into the mains, but not actually charging, is a surprisingly common problem.

Our work

We tested the charger, found the problem and replaced it with a modern unit.

The result

A successful electric boat charger replacement with the added bonus of the new unit saving about 50kg in weight and the creation of additional useful storage space.
